Cages/fencing: Many cages/fences are being installed, not only are they unattractive, they are costly. Several cases have been reported that after a consumer has lost their air conditioner to the thieves, replaced it and caged it, they lost their air conditioning system again, and often lost the cages/fencing as well. This option is also very restraining and sometimes dangerous to your hvac technician when they need to service your system.
Cement: Many home builders, homeowners, and business owners have decided to install
their air conditioning outside unit by placing it in a concrete slab. Once the cement has
hardened, this will certainly deter theft of the unit, but it is not effective on the thieves that
tear it apart and strip it. Then it becomes your responsibility to break up and dispose
the concrete before you can have another unit installed.
Shrubs and Bushes: Shrubs and bushes may keep you’re a/c unit a little more hidden, but
